🗳️ What’s On the Ballot?
🗳️ A guide to the key races and issues Far Northwest Democrats is focused on for the midterm election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. We start with the local school board and community college races where we are block walking, followed by federal, state, and Travis County races.
Our club area is in Travis County, and it spans several districts, so not every candidate below will appear on your ballot. Your address determines your exact ballot, so look yours up before you vote.
🎓 Leander ISD
Leander ISD serves the Travis County parts of Leander and Cedar Park. These races are nonpartisan on the ballot, but the candidates below are the pro public education candidates endorsed by the Travis County Democratic Party.
🗳️ Proposition A — Leander ISD VATRE
Leander ISD has called a Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE), which appears on your ballot as Proposition A. Approval would add three pennies to the district’s maintenance and operations (M&O) tax rate, generating roughly $6.7 million a year after state recapture for district operations, staff pay, programs, and student services. A vote FOR Proposition A supports Leander ISD schools.
🎓 Round Rock ISD
Round Rock ISD board races are nonpartisan. Four places are on the November 3 ballot: Place 3, Place 4 (Alicia Markum, uncontested), Place 5, and Place 6. Our endorsed candidates for these seats will be added here shortly.
🎓 Austin Community College
ACC trustees are elected at large by every voter in the ACC taxing district, so this race appears on your ballot no matter where in the district you live. Places 1, 2, and 3 are on the November 3, 2026 ballot.
🇺🇸 Federal
The U.S. Senate race is statewide. Our club area sits in Travis County, which the 2025 redistricting placed in U.S. House District 10 and District 11.
